Woodlands Hospital, Morton Park, Darlington, County Durham, DL1 4PL.

During Your Stay

Before and after your surgery, you can be assured of the highest quality of care as our Matron leads a team of very dedicated and highly trained clinical staff who will ensure your stay at the Woodlands is as comfortable as possible.

The Best Care

On the ward, you will have an assigned nurse on a daily basis, who is part of a team of nurses responsible for your care whilst you are in Hospital. We pride ourselves on our high standards of nursing care and your assigned nurse will provide personalised, individual care appropriate to your specific needs as our patient.

After your surgery, your Consultant surgeon will either visit you in your room or contact the ward by telephone to ensure your recovery is progressing well. We also have a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) on-site 24 hours a day to oversee all patients’ day-to-day medical needs.

All our rooms are designed to aid our patients’ recuperation, (see our ward rooms), and our catering team provide a range of meal choices during your stay (see catering facilities).

Visitors

Visitors are very welcome at the Woodlands Hospital between the hours of 10.30 and 20.00. To aid your recovery, nursing staff request only 2 visitors per bed, however alternative arrangements can be made with the ward if these requests are inconvenient.
