Patient Discharge

On the day of your discharge, a nurse will give you the necessary aftercare advice and provide any medication that you need.

Transport arrangements will be discussed and confirmed during your stay. We encourage patients to arrange their own transport home with family or friends as patient transport is only provided if there is a clinical need.

If your Consultant needs to see you in an outpatient clinic to review your progress following discharge from the Hospital, you will either be given a note of your appointment before leaving the ward or notification will be sent to you by post.
